the spring camp out is friday may 14 with the pancake breakfast the following morning. money is due for the pancake breakfast by that morning, you can turn it in to me anytime though. 50 dollars per kid. (double check this date on your calendar, i had it wrong on the handout i gave out) we have a fire ring reserved, let me know if you are setting up a tent that night. we can decide on dinner at the may 12th parent meeting.

100 year Birthday patch, you must do 4 items out of 15 to earn the 100 year patch (meet and greet, birthday meeting march 17, wear your vest to school, display poster at your house) and/or pick from the list handed out.

Los Cerritos Wetlands restoration event April 17 10am to noon and/or May 1st 10am to noon. please attend if you can to support camp fire and the wetlands. meet at Trader Joe's parking lot at westminister(2nd street) and Shopkeeper road (Market Place) at 10am. wear casual camp fire clothes, camp t-shirts if you have them (camp shiwaka or camp fire t shirts and red hoodies available at the council), closed toe shoes (no flip flops), hat, sunscreen. please consider helping us save Los Cerritos Wetlands, i have been working hard for five years to get camp fire involved in the restoration process. this is an excellent opportunity to get camp fire in the media/press and link camp fire with the wetlands restoration. one thing you will find out by being a camp fire member is that the boy scouts and girl scouts are HUGE, most people don't know anything about camp fire. attending these kind of events will get people to see that camp fire kids care about the community and are out there helping too. please find 2 hours in your weekend to attend and i PROMISE you won't regret it! RSVP to me so i can get a good head count of who is attending. thanks!!
